Harry Potter Nail Art

Harry Potter has become a huge hit around the world. One of the trending nail art design is the Harry Potter one which I decided to try myself.

Glasses + Lightning Bolt:

1. Paint your nail white. You may need 2-3 coats for opacity.
2. Take a dotting tool or a toothpick and dip it in black polish to make to circles at the tip of the nail.
3. Use a black striper or a paintbrush and create a lightning bolt near the cuticle.
4. Wait for the black circles to dry and dot a smaller white circle inside them.

The Golden Snitch:

1. Paint your nail 2-3 coats of a white polish.
2. Dot a small circle of gold polish near the corner of the nail.
3. Use a striper to draw two lines for the wings.
4. Then, remove any excess polish from the the striper and gently make feathered strokes to complete the wings of the snitch. It is essential that the striper does not have too much polish on it. Also note that the strokes have to start from the lines drawn earlier and move outward.

Harry Potter:

1. Paint your nail Black.
2. Use a paintbrush dipped in silver polish to draw the letters.

Deathly Hallows:

1. Start off with a white base colour.
2. Use a black striper to make a triangle for the Invisibility Cloak, a line across it for the Elderly Wand and a circle at its base for the Resurrection Stone.

Griffindor House:

1. Paint your nail 2 coats of a yellow or gold polish.
2. Let your nail dry completely and add a top coat to prevent removal of base colour in the next step.
3. Cut a few pieces of tape about 3mm thick. Stick it on your skin and peel it until the stickiness is minimum. Then paste them horizontally across the nail.
4. Apply red nail polish and peel the tape immediately.

Finish off with a top coat
