Honey Walnut Cake

Sorry for such a long wait for you! Wasn't really sure what to put up!
I recently made a Soda-Gummy Popsicle but it's so unfortunate that I accidentally deleted the picture!
I'm still figuring out if I can recover that photo.
Anyway, so let's get started with this honey walnut cake.

You will need:

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar*
  • 1/2 cup milk + 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 of crushed walnuts
*The cake will not be too sweet so you can add more sugar if you'd like to...

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 170`C

1. Combine the flour, baking soda, powder and salt in a bowl.

2. Add the sugar and mix well.

3. Make a hole in the middle if the dry ingredients and add the oil, milk-lemon mixture and the honey. Mix slowly till everything is combined

4. Add the egg and walnuts and mix gently.

5. Line a cake tin with aluminium foil or parchment paper and lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour the batter and Sprinkle some walnut on top.

6. Bake for 15-20 minutes till a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. Let it cool. Then glaze it with honey and sprinkle some caster sugar on top!
