Chocolate Cake Pops

Cupcakes and cakes may be delicious. But if you are looking for something fun to make and yummy to eat, it is cake pops. Making cake pops is time consuming but perfect for a day when you have nothing to do...

Ingredients:

  • A cake mix
  • Cake frosting
  • Melting chocolate
  • Decorations (Sprinkles, chocolate chips etc.)

Other items:

  • Ice cream sticks or lolly pop sticks
  • Wax paper or cling film
  • Thermocol

Method:

1. Bake your cake as per the instructions. You can also bake a cake from scratch.

2. Let it cool completely and use your hands to crumble it. Then add some frosting.

3. Add your frosting little by little and keep mixing it with your hand until it can be made into balls without falling apart.

4. Roll the cake pop mixture into balls and place it on a tray lined with cling film or wax paper.

5. Chill it in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.

6. Now, take the ice-cream stick and cut it to your preferred size.

7. Melt the chocolate in a heat safe container in the microwave and stir every 30 seconds. Then dip the stick in the chocolate and push it into the cake pops. The chocolate acts as an adhesive.

8. Make sure the melted chocolate is smooth before dipping the cake pop into it.

9. Immediately dip it into the sprinkles or chocolate chips, before the chocolate sets.

10. Then stick it into a piece of thermocol to set completely.

11. Place in the fridge for 5 minutes and your cake pop is ready to eat!
